Senior Model Maker

We require a highly experienced Senior Model Maker to work primarily on the manufacture of large aircraft mock-ups and prototypes. The ideal candidate will still be able to work on a large and varied range of models and prototypes for the product, medical and automotive industries.

Our requirements for the role are:

  • Conversion and preparation of customer files to enable the manufacture of models and prototype
  • Manufacture of models and prototypes to the highest standard utilising all conventional machines, CNC, 3D printing and other processes as required
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Plan output and material requirements in order to meet targets
  • Liase with customers on technical and quality issues
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of work into and through the department.


Rapid Prototyping Technical/Model Maker

This role will be in our Rapid Prototyping Department and you will be fine finishing SLA masters, creating silicon tooling, producing vacuum cast parts and assembly of prototype assemblies. Our requirements for this role are:

  • You have exceptional hand skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of model shop machinery and processes
  • Experience of 3D printing and vaccum casting processes
  • Good working knowledge of CAD software

You will also be expected to work as part of an effective team but also be confident working independently.
