Simpler, clearer info about your personal data

In the simplest terms, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new privacy law that will be introduced in the UK on 25th May 2018. It protects users from unauthorised data collection by requiring explicit consent. If data is being collected and stored, the individual providing the information needs to be aware of it. However, as the law is unclear in a business to business situation, we are using the grounds of Legitimate Interest to maintain contact with our existing database which we believe is the correct way to proceed. Along with providing permission to collect data, the GDPR also requires that users are able to request access to their data and have it removed if requested.

When you share your personal data with us, we treat it with care and take our responsibility to protect it seriously. That’s why we’ve just updated our privacy notice to better communicate how we handle your personal data.

We’ve made changes so that it’s:

  • Clear, easy to read and simple to understand
  • Open about how we collect, store, use and secure personal data
  • In line with Europe’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For a detailed summary of the changes, please see the new Ogle Models and Prototypes Ltd privacy notice.

Thanks,

The Ogle Team
