Creating a pipeline of talent for the 3D printing and modelmaking sector is important for the future of our industry. It is something we are passionate about at Ogle, which is why we are excited to be one of the main sponsors for the New Blades 2023 show in London in June.
Almost 80 graduates from the Arts University Bournemouth, University of Hertfordshire, Coleg y Cymoedd, The Northern School of Art, Northbrook College and Wimbledon School of Art will be displaying their work with a host of awards up for grabs. As well as supporting the event, we are sponsoring the award for Best Product Model.
Phil Martin, Director, said: “It is a pleasure to be involved in this fabulous fair that brings together some of the best talent around. Graduates will be putting their work on display to try to secure roles in the industry and we are looking forward to seeing what they have produced.”
The annual event, which acts as a recruitment fair for modelmakers, is in its 29th year and attracts some industry heavyweights from sectors including entertainment, product development and architectural. The 20 awards include Best Use of Creative Materials, Best Architectural Model and Best Product Model, as well as the Best of Show which will be voted for by industry professionals who attend.
“Modelmaking is such a diverse industry with a range of opportunities for the right people to display their creativity and attention to detail. We’re really keen to encourage the next generation into what is an amazing industry.”
The exhibition is on Thursday, 15th June at Holborn Studios, London, from 10am to 10pm.
