CNC Operator


Details:

Ogle is a long-established, Industrial Modelmaking, Rapid Prototyping and Industrial 3D Printing Company. We support the design and development process for a wide range of industry sectors including Aerospace, Architectural, Automotive, Defence, Product Design, Medical and Renewable Energy. 

The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced CNC machinist to work on the manufacture of prototype models and small batch production parts within the aerospace, automotive, environmental, film, medical and product design industries. 

Requirements

The CNC machinist has the following responsibilities and duties: 

  • Setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines. 
  • ‘Right first time’ component manufacturing. 
  • Designing bespoke work holding systems. 
  • Maintaining and checking machinery to guarantee functionality. 
  • Translating engineering drawings and CAD data for production. 
  • Assisting with project estimating. 

Responsibilities:

The CNC machinist should have the following skills, education, and experience: 

  • Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools. 
  • Experience with a wide variety of materials, including metals, performance plastics and model board. 
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach. 
  • Skilled at offline CAM programming using Hypermill and ZW3D or similar software (training will be given if required). 
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals. 
  • Ability to work multiple machines and controllers (Heidenhain, Hurco MAX5 and Fanuc).
