Ogle Models and Prototypes Ltd worked with Nissan, a world leading automotive manufaturer, to help with remodelling of it Quashqai model. A variety of rapid prototyping processes were used on the project.

What we did:

• Creation of an exterior fit for purpose
• Turning the a right hand drive into a left hand drive
• Reducing the weight, but making it more robust
• Cutting hole recesses in the correct light positions

Replacing, creating and updating:

• The front fenders
• The front grill
• The Bonnet – milled from model board
• Headlamps – CNC machined in solid perspex
• The bumper – moulded from GRP fibreglass skins
• Tail lights – tinted red
• Tail gate lighter – produced by SLA and vaccum metalilized
• The sunroof – machine moulded
• Road wheels – Produced new wheels using fibre glass panels
• All interior parts were CNC milled or produced as SLAs
• Finishing on interior parts, including paint, soft touch or PVC
