History of Ogle Models and Prototypes Ltd

The automotive industry has long been at the heart of our business - David Ogle founded the business in 1954 and was very keen on car design. Starting with a four seater GT Coupe in 1960 and onto the Ogle mini with a glassfibre body and  utilizing standard mini parts, you may know that he was also responsible for the Reliant Scimitar Coupe..

In order to concentrate on our core business of model making and prototyping we took the decision to sell the design business to a Swedish company (Noor) in October 2000 and we now have no connection with that business.

We were responsible for some of the original Star Wars models including the x & y wing fighters together with the original & best, Raleigh Chopper but we do not rest on our laurels - some of our latest projects have included working with Richard Branson's Virgin group including work on the Space project.
